Rachel Yeo, a classically trained soprano and native of Los Angeles, brings a wide range of experience to both solo and ensemble performance. In 2025, she joins the LA Opera Chorus for their production of Ainadamar. Roles include Ngon Hong in On Gold Mountain (LA Opera Connects), Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites, and Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She also originated the role of Kiyohime in the workshop of Dojyoji at Boston Court Pasadena and is a recipient of the Opera Buffs (LA) grant.
A seasoned choral singer and recitalist, Rachel most recently performed as the soprano soloist for Bach’s Magnificat, Bach’s Gloria in excelsis Deo, and Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit with I Cantori di Carmel. A member of the GRAMMY®-winning vocal ensemble Tonality, she was a soloist in HomeCare: A Concert on Climate Change. Her recent recitals include performances at Northridge at Noon and POPtoberfest, part of Pacific Opera Project's Artist Recital Series. Rachel made her international solo debut with the Roger Wagner Chorale on their 2022 Japan tour and has been featured in the LA Korean Cultural Center’s 2022 Ari Project and St. Andrew Church’s Annual Bach to Broadway Concert Series.
Rachel is currently the soprano section leader and soloist at St. Edmund's Episcopal Church in San Marino, CA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Mount Saint Mary’s University, where she was awarded a full merit scholarship.
